SPRING POWERSKATING
Led by Powerskating Specialist David Montelpare, our Spring Powerskating program provides the ultimate hockey program for boys and girls ages 7-14 who are ready to take their skills to the next level and develop a solid base of skating, edgework, and skills! Our team of highly experienced coaches are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the game in a positive and challenging environment, ensuring each player is working their hardest to improve their skills while also having a ton of fun. This program is perfect for players at all levels who could benefit from specific skills training.
Each session generally begins with a fast-paced powerskating component, focusing on forward strides, crossovers, backward skating, proper posture, edges, and more. From there, players are split into small-groups and will rotate through skills stations on the ice, working combining their skating training with shooting, passing, game situations, puck races, and everything in between. We believe that small-group stations are designed to strengthen player-to-coach ratios to provide players with more individual feedback to improve their skills, and ensure players are actively participating in drills, not standing around and watching.
Our programs are designed to align with the latest recommendations of Hockey Canada’s Long-Term Athletic Development Model.

We strongly encourage all players to use the bathroom before arriving at a program as bathrooms are not available at some facilities. Our coaches are NOT permitted to take children to the bathroom at any time. Parents must remain at the rink to accompany their children to and from the bathroom.

We are happy to offer friend request opportunities so that friends in the same program may play and enjoy the game together. Our first priority is to create balanced groups, and this will supersede all requests where necessary. Requests are STRICTLY a 1:1 pairing opportunity where players involved must reciprocate requests.
